Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested Tuesday on federal charges that accuse him of trying to benefit from his ability to appoint President-elect Barack Obama's replacement in the U.S. Senate.

Gee, I'm glad you have things figured out here. I should have said RVN because that was the correct name. And I did serve for 20+ years active in addition to the time I spent in III CTZ getting shot at and shot down. One of the things you need to learn sonny is that some of us called to duty responded to the call. We don't brag about what we did because war is horrific. What are your credentials? If you served, I salute you; if you didn't, I pity you for your small minded attitude.— Viet Nam

Thanks for your positive feedback today. If you watch my writing here, you know I am not too fond of dems or reps, individually or collectively. Nor do I like professional politicians.
The most expedient way to preserve our great nation for our progeny is to have about 5 different parties sharing the leadership role (elected without any campaign financing at all). I would like to start one of those new parties with a realist vision, focused common sense cost-effective solutions. While I would like a leadership role in such a party, I am not deluded with political ambition--only interested in righting the country. Younger more charismatic well-founded individuals need to run, provided they are immune to Washington corruption.
Somebody has to get the dialogue going; I doubt average Americans will stumble upon this multi-party idea individually. What about you?

I noticed with chagrin your ill-natured comment in response to the 2009 Re-Declaration of Independence, and decided to look up your profile. Without any great surprise I found your prolonged tyrade of also ill-natured comments to a proliferation of others that have been participating.
You are apparently angry, frustrated, and have nothing constructive to contribute to anyone or any thought process. In fact, the shallowness of your comments indicates you haven't yet grasped the gravity of the current times and economic situation.
FYI.....I have repeatedly written to multiple Congressmen in constructive fashion. No, I do not have too much time on my hands.....I simply decided that things are so-o-o-o bad that I re-arranged my time to constructively express my opinion. Many others are doing so, providing vital historical information that is factual.
I suggest you become a contributor.....not a detractor. If you have some extra time on your hands, do some research and make a contribution that adds value to the conversation.
Meanwhile, I will try to overlook your comment in hopes that the next posting I see under the moniker Chuck T. will have something better to offer.
